When I reflect on this question, I feel like answering
it through the moment-to-moment experiences of the last two days. The
organization within awareness happens naturally when I observe my daily
activities.
Yesterday, when I was teaching my student, he was
asking many questions. He was writing what I was telling him, and I was engaged
with the content of the topic I was teaching. I was also taking help from
different tools for teaching. Many things were happening together, and
everything was happening in my awareness. I never had to consciously organize
everything. With clarity of mind and just being aware of everything, the
organization of all these micro events happened automatically. Everything
happened in order by itself. The situation was getting organized by itself. I
did not have to make any special effort for it.
Another example is from yesterday when I was working
on my laptop. One part of me was typing on the laptop, another part was feeling
hungry, and one part of me was thinking about my future work. I could see the
order of these experiences. There was hunger, typing on the keyboard, and
thinking about work. I did not sit and arrange these activities intentionally.
They seemed to reveal their sequence by themselves.
Most of my time also goes into dealing with family
dynamics. Because of this, different emotions arise inside me. Sometimes I feel
stressed, confused, happy, or lethargic. When these emotions are mixed
together, it feels as if different voices are speaking inside me. By simply
noticing them, being aware of them, or reflecting upon them, they get organized
by themselves. I do not need to make special efforts to manage those emotions.
They just get organized systematically with proper observation.
One of the important activities I am doing these days
is trying to control my diet to reduce my weight. This makes me more conscious
while eating. The movement of the hands, eating the food, cooking the
food—everything starts happening in a systematic way when it is simply noticed.
I can feel the sequence of the taste, chewing, swallowing, and then the next
bite just by being aware of them.
What used to feel chaotic becomes clearer and
organized simply by being aware of all these activities. When things are
clearly seen, they naturally appear in some order. So, when I reflect on the
above question, I begin to understand how awareness and organization are
closely interlinked. By just being aware of our daily experiences like walking,
eating, talking, working, and many other activities, everything starts getting
organized.
This makes me a little curious to understand whether
awareness actually organizes experiences, or whether it is simply the space in
which different things become visible and appear organized. I want to explore
this further.
